A friend let me borrow her awesome DSLR camera – Canon EOS D. Besides the body being worth thousands of $$$, the lenses, tripod etc made it such a wonderful set up. Even though the weeks of rain made it quite dark in my dining room, I was able to find a nice window of time from 11am-2pm in my living room. I am finally learning what f-stops are, the different lens lengths, ISO, RAW vs. compressed files and so much more! I was able to take some great mushroom and tropical fruit and flower photos. Can you name all the mushrooms?
Here’s what they are: Maitake (Hen of the Woods), Matsutake (Pine Mushroom), Woodear, Enoki, Golden Enoki, Hon shimeji, Buna shimeji (Beech Mushrooms), Shiitake, Yamabushiitake (Lion’s Mane)
After I return this awesome camera with gratitude and some homemade meals, I’m probably going to use some $ I saved to get the basic Canon 6D and a 50mm lens.
What other lenses would you recommend? Another fixed lens or perhaps a zoom lens?
Happy Food Photography Time!
